We’re thrilled to share the news that Mitt was crowned ‘Disruptor of the Year’ at the London Business Awards 2020!
Now in their second year, the London Business Awards celebrate the growth and achievements of the ‘most exciting companies and entrepreneurs based in the capital’.
The Disruptor of the Year award specifically recognises the achievements of ‘an innovative market leader whose product or service is shaking up the industry with ground-breaking technology’.
So naturally, we’re pretty stoked to have taken the top spot!
Nathan Macabuag, Mitt’s founder, was delighted to accept the award on behalf of the team at a glitzy ceremony held in Canary Wharf. Here’s what he had to say:
“We’re absolutely over the moon to have won this award and I can’t thank the team enough for all their passion and hard work, and for making Mitt what it is today.
Our thanks also go to all our friends, supporters and of course our trialists, who continue to inspire us every day.”
Nathan continued: “For more than 3 years, we’ve been worked alongside people with limb
differences to create the world's first medically approved and truly affordable prosthetic
designed by users, for users.
“We want to make prosthetics accessible to every single person in the world who wants one,
at a price people can actually afford.
“While winning awards is amazing, it has never been about that for us. We want to help
people continue doing the things they love and to lead the life they want to lead.
“If we can make a difference to the life of just one person, then that’s a win for us.”
